Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: Hoping on cyber Monday

Budget Range: 300-400 Before Rebates (which i barely trust)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Internet, Streaming movies, java gaming at most

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade:
Will need a PSU (got the Cx430 in my cart atm for 36)
CPU, im assuming AMD would be better, no discrete cards will ever be added
MoBo that is reliable
Case i have no clue on as ive never done a HTPC before

Do you need to buy OS: Yes (maybe i should've bought this on black friday)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg as i have my free shipping for the time being with them.

Location: Hawaii

Parts Preferences: AMD i'm assuming, would like a reliable case and motherboard as said above

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 40' 1080p TV i believe

Additional Comments: prefer something quiet and not too flashy but has speed
Person will be using my parts available (Sniper 2x4gb 1866 ram, LG black 12x Blu-ray, Rosewill RNX-N250 wireless adapter, WD 500gb 7200rpm HD)
i would like the cost without the OS to be 250-300 which may be easy :X i went overboard on my picking (or at least i thought) went with the A8-A10 processors

Awesome! any other cases tho? i have no "price" background as to whats a good value with HTPC cases, i see lian li and cooler master (my usual working cases) don't have a real selection

and i checked for the keyboards dont need to factor that in, got one in mind, and its instock haha

Silverstone is pretty good. Don't worry about it :) .

Actually, there's really no telling with CHOICES in cases. You can buy whatever you want for the case since in reality it's just a box that fits your parts inside.

Just go with whatever case you are happy with and I'll be happy for you as well.
