Thermal paste on gpu

hi want to know what is the best method to apply thermal paste on gpu i mean a large die size gpu i have gtx 570
and i want to know how can i apply the new thermal paste + i dont have paste in injection prefer i have in container so will applying it by hand is useful or not

I always put a small amount on like a pea size and slowly smear it across the surface of the gpu with a piece of flat cardboard.

but spreading the paste will cause air bubbles and air is not good for heat sink and cpu

for all user who have large die size gpu just like gtx 400,500 or radeon hd 6000 and 7000 users i have found a good way to keep it cool ur gpu i been searching for the method and i found a very huge different method for all gpus first i use spread method my gtx 570 idle temp was 50 to 51 good
when i use dot method on my gtx 570 i found pretty nicer my temp went down to
7 c cooler now my gtx 570 is idle have 44 or 45 at idle this is the good one
conclusion spreading method cause air bubbles that may increase the temp
most of the cpu or gpu heat comes in center rather then other sides after applying dot method temp goes down pretty much good thing
