Is this a decent setup?

Hello,
I purchased a i7 3820 10% overclocked, nvideia geforce 660ti evgasuperclocked, gigabyte x79 up4 chipset quad channel ddr3 atx mainboard, 16gb 4x4 2133mhz g skill ripjaws x lg 14x blu ray, 1,000 watt power supply, asetek 510lc single fan,vigor isurf hdd cooling system, 2tb single drive hdd. and other small stuff.

Ugh paying for them to overclock it.

It's decent, although you really don't need the LGA2011 chipset with just one 660ti.

- 16GBs of RAM is an overkill
- i7 3820 not recommended for OC (not unlocked for OC)
- X79 overkill for 660ti

I would recommend:

16GB RAM ---> 8GB RAM (more than enough)
i7 3820 ---> i7 3770K (unlocked for OC)
GTX 660ti ---> GTX 670 (runs cooler and faster)
X79 ---> Z77 (X79 overkill for your current setup)

if you really need X79 chipset motherboards:

i7 3960X
8GB of RAM
GTX 690

Otherwise stick with the Z77 boards.
