So, I've been trying to decide which monitor is best for gaming and 3 monitors caught my eye:

ASUS LCD LED 24" VE248H 2ms FHD WIDE

DELL ULTRASHARP LED 23" U2312HM - IPS PANEL

DELL ULTRASHARP LED 24" U2412M - IPS PANEL

Which of the three should I take? Or are there better monitors I should look into?

Well out of the ones you have on your first post the Ultrasharp U2412M is the best.

It also depends on what games you play most.

IPS monitors have better color reproduction and sharper images, but also have slower response times and can only go up to 60hz (60fps). Better for slower paced adventure/racing games, like Skyrim.

TN monitors can go up to 120fps. Actually the brand new Asus VG278HE can go up to 144hz! These type of monitors are better for faster paced and online multiplayer competative games like BF3.

The 120hz monitors are going to be more expensive because they can do 3d gaming which is mind blowing for gaming, but not for everyone. But 3d is a whole other story.

What are your PC specs? Need to know if you will be able to run a 120hz monitor or 2560x1440 monitor. If your PC is not very powerful I like the Dell Ultrasharp. They have great image quality. Size is up to you. The bigger the better IMO. I use 27in so the PPI(pixels per inch) is not as high as a 23 or 24in, but I sit a little farther back from my 3 monitor setup. Just put a pic of it up as my profile pic.
