Professional and I have no audio? When I actually found
the problem on the Microsoft Home Page, it claims that
the edition used a sound card MachOne and it is not
capaptible with XP Professional and to contact my
manufacturer for any upgrades!! I went to their web site
and there are no upgrades....what do I do???!!!

If there are no updates for your soundcard, the simplest way is to replace
the soundcard. Basic soundcards with reasonable good features are
relatively inexpensive. Check manufacturer websites before buying to be
sure the card is relatively current and they are still supporting the card.
Creative, www.creative.com and Turtle Beach, www.turtlebeach.com are the
manufacturers you should check as they are the most common cards and the
ones most likely to provide updates for most recently released cards.

Once you've found a card at their sites with the features that interest you,
check your local retailers and compare price. If your needs are fairly
basic, you don't need anything too fancy and most such cards can be found
for a reasonable price.

I had the same problem. According to my computer, I had no audio device
installed after updating to XP Pro. I went online and downloaded the
original driver for the sound card from the manufacturer and followed their
installation instructions. Then from the Device Manager, I found my unknown
audio device under the "other devices" section. I selected it and "updated"
the driver (in reality I was really installing the original). After that,
my audio was back. I also had the same problem with video quality and did
the same thing. Now all works fine.
I hope that works for you. Post a reply if it doesn't work or you're not
sure how to do something.
