I am going to buy a laptop in the near future and I am intending to use it primarily for gaming please tell me if the laptops are going to be powerful enough to do what i'm asking and which of the two will be better and if it will be a big enough difference for the price. I don't really know if my sub category is right. I'm asking for help meaning i'm not an expert.

I would like to be able to play the following games at the corresponding settings and still maintain a good FPS (30+).

Minecraft - High settings
ArmA 2 - medium settings

The Lenovo Y480 would be the better choice for what you are looking for both can play those games @ those settings just fine.

If you really want performance get a desktop at the same price and you will see a large jump in performance and at the same price, that is unless the mobility is the key feature.

I hope this helps and good luck

Thank you very much. How good is that graphics card? The one on the y480. I still am learning about them and I know that the CPU and what not is good but not the card.
