I just recently installed an aftermarket cooler on my graphics card. Everything worked fine before i installed the cooler (aside from the broken fan, which is why i replaced it)
But after i replaced the cooler it starts up, video shows, bios screen starts up, choosing safe mode normal mode screen shows up, and then my monitor stops working as if the card isn't connected and says "no signal"
I go into the BIOS and same thing happens, after around 20 seconds I get the "no signal" message.
Tried an old VGA monitor, with a dvi to vga adapter and I get the same message. I use HDMI on my original monitor.
I'm positive I installed the cooler correctly, its moving plenty of air, fans spinning at full peed.
Does anyone know what the cause of this is? Anyone have a remedy? I really would love any kind of help.
Also its worth noting that I have an Asus Motherboard with the "MemOK" button, and everytime I turn on my PC a red light flashes twice above it. Thats been happening for a while, but I haven't had any problems with my PC until now.
MY PC Specs:
Asus M5A97 AM3+ 970 Motherboard
Wintec 4gb 2x2gb 1600 DDR3 RAM
MSI R6850 Cyclone edition with Gelid Solutions Icy Vision aftermarket cooler/slight overclock
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition @ 3.8GHz cooled with Corsair H60
OCZ ModXStream 600W Modular Power Supply
Seagate Barracuda 1tb 7200RPM
7 120mm Fans including H60, plenty of airflow. Inside of case stays around 20 degrees celcius according to fan controller.
As I stated, any help or ideas would be appreciated, I bought my new cooler for better overclocking and my computer is completely out of commission for the weekend.
