  1. Oh i have 450W PSU and 22" LCD tv connected 2 pc via hdmi about £70-80 for a better gpu , but thats my limit really, thanks if anyone can answer my question or give some advice
  2. swap out the CPU for a pentiumG, swap out the GPU with a 7750(or 7770).
  3. The 6670 is really an entry level card. You would be fine on medium @ 720p. A 7770 would easily do high probably ultra at that resolution. The only problem you'll have is in major cities during peak times or in 25 mans with the 6670.

If you have the available funds, go with a 7770. If not, the 6670 is ok but it will be the bottleneck in your system, especially if you OC your CPU.
  4. ok thanks, would sapphire 2gb 6670 ddr3 or 6670 1gb ddr5 be better? im not very computer literate thanks :) been told there isnt much difference

What site are you using for pricing / shopping?

    Newegg (all prices USD)
    Sapphire 6670 1gb $64.99
    HiS 6670 2gb $69.99
    HiS 7770 Ghz Edition 1gb $119.99

Only $5 in difference for an extra 1gb of VRAM, again, the 6670 is low end, the 7770 is closer to mid range.
  6. The GDDR5 would be a noticable bit better.
  7. Processor Type: AMD FX
    Hard Drive :1 TB
    Processor Spe4.00 GHz
    Primary Drive: CD-RW/DVD Combo
Features: Graphics Card Amd 6450 1Gb
    Memory (RAM): 8 GB
    Chip Type: AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core
    PSU : 450W

I mean this is what i have , i have 70-80£ for a new graphcis card , so would a 6670 2gb spice up my games a little bit ? not fusses about high/ultra, just a steady medium/low would do

Thanks samuelspark, forgot to add that. Most 6670's are GDDR3 while the all the 7770 is GDDR5 is the current generation of GPU's. If you can't afford the 7770 then definitely don't go any lower than the 6670.

    You would see a better increase with the MSI 6670 1gb GDDR5 than with a 2gb GDDR3.

    The problem is price.
    6670 1gb GDDR3 = $65
    6670 2gb GDDR3 = $70
    6670 1gb GDDR5 = $90
    7770 1gb GDDR5 = $115

    Again, this is in USD
  10. ok nice, where would the best UK online store for the sapphire 6670 1gb ddr5 be?

    www.scan.co.uk

    or

    www.microdirect.co.uk

I believe that's where most people get their UK parts.

Edit: Here is a http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Home/Product/54321/Sapphire-ATi-Radeon-HD-7750-GHZ-1GB-GDDR5-PCI-E (Sapphire 7750 1gb GDDR5) from Microdirect for £81.60 Inc Vat £68.00 Ex Vat

The 7750 is superior to the 6670 in every game / benchmark and it's in your budget

HERE is a direct comparison between the two cards.
  12. better yet get the hd7750 1gb gddr5 at $99. more powerful than hd6670 gddr5 while consuming less power than 6670. thats also the card am getting for my budget gaming rig
