audigy s/n ratio is 100 isn't this better than pro cards like echo, digidesign etc.

Let me put it this way: the most gain you're likely to get out of your card is probably around 10dB. S/N ratio doesn't come much into play. For the speakers, yes. Not for the card.

The Audigy seems to be a very well made product, unlike the Live.
