No I don't think it would works for cards over 6670. And I don't think it will reach 7850's performance. Maximum it would only reach a 7770. If you are buying an APU, I don't recommend you to crossfire it and I would recommend it for you know, little kids who want to game or for low end gaming. And if you want discrete graphics, get a 7750 with Pentium G processor.

mATX + 970 or 990 chipset no mobos, not so far.
mATX + FM1s no problem, and newegg offers more mATX FM2s than FM2 ATX motherboards
A mATX case with a 7850 would be just a little crowded. Windforce 7850 in a mATX case, no way of course a saw a hole and have it sticking out maybe.
