i have DSL router in my home using wifi by it... it is on sharing by DHCP mode... and my question is how to restrict bandwidth to other users ?? like full access to one use and 50-60 kbps to another user ?? is it possible please help..
There are actually quite a few post on here looking for this same info, which you might find some useful info in.
The basis is using QoS is where you want to start looking, but most routers do not allow you to set actual bandwidth limits per ip/mac address. I believe there are paid versions of dd-wrt which will allow this, but those are the only ones I'm aware of. If you have access to the machine that you want to limit bandwidth on you could also install software on it which would limit it.
