I am building a new computer and I have some questions on cases. I was looking at the new submarine one and it looks pretty sweet and I have been hearing good things about it. Is it a good case to get? I have an Epox 8kHA mobo so it is compatible. Anyone have any thoughts on cases?

Don't know that case, but the advise you will get from most people here is to buy a Lian-Li. It's by far one of the nicest cases out there. The PC-60 is the choice of most. Lian-Li web site

I agree. I have a PC-60 and it is great.

That is the single ugliest case I have ever seen in my life. But that's just my opinion.

It's also my opinion that Van Smith is an idiot, but whatever.

EDIT:
"RIMMs are extraordinarily expensive. The 128 MB PC800 stick used is worth about $1,000 -- I always hold my breath when I handle it - it is literally more expensive than its weight in pure gold. "

Wow!

I have a Lian Li Pc-68. I had been case hunting and using different ones for years. NO MORE! It is expensive but the hardware it holds is a whole low more expensive and it keeps everything nice and cool. I know there is no perfect case but this one is good. It will last a long time. But everyone has their favorite case.

Are CoolerMasters really worth the price? They're very expensive.

you are right, but the Lian Li are expensive too.

Absolutely. But Lian-Li are generally regarded as the best computer cases around, and the Coolermasters are $100-$400 more expensive for a similar case.

To me the Submarine case looks like a cheap flimsy plastic case. Worst of all, it resembles a Macintosh. The Lian-Li cases are nice: they have filtered active cooling on the hard drives, nice craftsmanship, and aluminum going for it but that doesn't necessarily make them the best. Antec, Chieftec, Addtronics, Coolermaster, Enermax, Skyhawke, and Chenbro all make some really excellant cases too. A lot of people fall in love with Lian-Li cases for being different in a good way, but they certainly aren't a necessity if you want a really good case. Also, I've seen people take some really old junky cases and turn them into the sweetest and nicest cases I've ever seen.
