Hi
I got my 300d a few weeks ago, and have had an intermittent problem with
the kit lens. Every now and again (always in natural light) I'll get a
halo covering the same part of the picture:

The halo is always in the same spot, and doesn't dissapear when the
camera angle changes or the light moves. Is this a lens problem, or
something else...?

Easiest thing would be to try a different lens on it....thats quite the
problem you got though.

It turns out its the shutter gone - which I'm dissapointed with...the
camera's only 3 weeks old!
