AudioTrak CARDamp article

Does anyone see a use in this thing? Given that you can buy a 100Wx2 reciever for just over $100, the CARDamp doesn't seem very cost effective.

Too bad they didn't through in some sort of digital decoder with a DAC on it. I'm curious on how much heat that CARDamp dissipates.
