Help! Can I crossfire my AMD A6 3500 to HD 6850 TOXIC?

Hello,
I need to know if A6 3500 can be crossfire to HD 6850? I mean it says that the APU can crossfire to 6xxx series.

SPECS:
Mobo: ASUS F1A55 M LX PLUS
PSU: COOLERMASTER EXTREME 2 525W
CPU COOLER: COOLERMASTER HYPER 212 EVO
PROCIE: AMD A6 3500 2.1GHZ
RAM: 1X4GB KINGSTON HYPER X
HDD: HITACHI 500GB & SEAGATE 160GB
GPU: HD 6850 TOXIC
DVD: LITEON

No I don't believe you can and theirs no point either the onchip A6 GPU is maybe 8% (high estimate) of the 6850's GPU power making it not worth it (it would only improve the 6850 by 1-3% in CF then if it die even work). Just get the best card you can afford and don't worry about CF.

Thanks for the quik reply. So, is it ok to use only my 6850 without crossfiring? Im planning to buy intel core 2 quad q8200 & mobo P5QL PRO, is it a good upgrade to my A6 3500?

The top card that can be crossfire with the A6 is the 6670. It shows up as a 6690.

So..A6 + 6670 = 6690? Is it enough for gaming? like battlefield 3, crysis 2, inversion, etc....

No! As I said that's far worse than one 6850. As for the CPU upgrade why would you buy one three years old when you can get an i3 for $130.

Thanks again andrewcarr. Can I ask u a question about overclocking a6 3500? I mean, can I overclock my apu with my motherboard? Is it safe? it says that a6 3500 can be overclock auto thru AMD VISION CONTROL and it shows that from 2.10ghz to 2.40ghz.

Well it does have a locked multiplier so 2.4 is the fastest you can get. This is the turbo mode top speed and I personally have never had to overclock like that. But I know of some people that have found programs to lock it in at the max turbo clock.

The highest A6 3500 can be hybrid crossfired on is the HD 6670, anything above it will run as single gpu.
I overclocked it to 2.7, can get it to 3~ish if I can get rid of this stock cooling.

OT just really need to ask.

Did your HYPER 212 EVO worked on A6 3500? AFAIK A6 3500 can only support up to 65w.
