in DDR terms, what is the difference between CAS and CL? and what does each mean?

Is thers CL2 with CAS 2.5? and CL2.5 with CAS 2 or vice versa

CL means CAS Latency

CAS is Column Access Strobe

CL = CAS

The lower the number the lower the latency.

It was the same for SDRAM too. CAS is basically the same thing as the CL spec.
