Default windows 7 backgrounds

What resolution are the default windows 7 aero backgrounds? Will they scale all the way to 2560x1440?

I think that different backgrounds have different resolutions. They should scale up IIRC, but you might want to make sure that those that you use are made for your native resolution (if there are any) for optimal visual quality, assuming that you care about that.

They scale well to 2560x1440 on my 27" and even to 2560x1600 on my 30".
