Just update that CPU to a 3570k Ivy Bridge and your set! Z77 boards do support Sandy Bridge processors though the Z77 chipset is optimized for features in Ivy Bridge processors. The total price though will be between $700 and $900. If I were you though, downgrade to a i3-3220 for that budget. The i3 has 2 cores, but has hyperthreading which will make it perform as of it had 4. Then with the $100 saved go with a better GPU. The 7870 will max out most games and stay above 40fps. The GPU won't be bottlenecked (limited in performance) unless you are playing a crazy CPU intensive game. An example of this would be (full) 64 player BF3 maps. Then you may see a slight performance drop.
