Hello everyone,

I am a first time builder. I want to know what the best method is for powering off your PC following a successful external test boot. I can think of two approaches at the moment: jump the power switch again, or flip the power switch on the PSU off.

Thanks!

it doesnt matter as there is (hopefully)no data on your hard disk drive yet as you have not installed the operating system. just flip the switch on the psu

once you have the windows installed every time you power your pc off quickly by pressing and holding down the power button and yanking out the power cable your hard drive will become fragmented and you will have to defragment or re arrange your data on the hard drive to make it more efficient/ the hd drive head does not have to move as much to retrieve data
