HELLPP! Upgrade Advice

Hi there, i am into gaming and just recently purchased far cry 3, i set the video settings to high, when i noticed a significant drop of fps. Far cry 3 on high settings produced 30-40fps. I am unsure of what exactly to upgrade!! please hellp

My specifications are as follows:

CPU :i7 2600k
Motherboard:Asus z77-DH3
GPU: Sapphire HD 7970
CPU Fan: Standard Intel Fan
PSU: 750W Corsair
RAM: 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance
Case: Basic Antec Thousand (Dont know model sorry)

I don't know how the game could possibly be lagging. What monitor resolution are you running? What is the usage on all of your components?

The resolution which i am playing the game at is 1920 x 1080, the usage on the cpu is fluctuating between 26% and 36% whilst the memory is around 3.3gb of usage.

What is the GPU around? This is one heck of a system and should not get slowed down by anything you have.

This is a great system! It is not your components, either you have a virus or you need to update your drivers.

Thanks for the replies, my GPU is saying that the memory usage is 392mb.

I am currently running a virus scan, and what drivers would you recommend for the GPU an CPU?
