I am a beginner and I am trying to build for under seven hundred dollars that can play games like skyrim on mid to high settings. My dad will not allow me to build my own which i heard is cheaper and better, so i went on cyberpower.com and made a custom pc. This is the one i came up with

CPU: Intel® Core™ i3-3220 3.30 GHz 3MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1155

HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)

MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (Corsair XMS with Heat Spreader)

MOTHERBOARD: [CrossFireX] GIGABYTE Z77-DS3H Intel Z77 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ IRST, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, 2x Gen3 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1 & 2 PCI (Pro OC Certified)

SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO

VIDEO: AMD Radeon HD 7770 1GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card (Major Brand Powered by AMD)

if you have any suggestions for changes let me know.

Well you don't really need the Z77 board since your not overclocking nor using Crossfire/SLI. You could opt for a H77 chipset board and then upgrade on the CPU or maybe the GPU? No harm done getting the Z77 board but since you can't overclock and you don't seem to be using 2 or more video cards the H77 makes some sense.

Building your own for less than $700 you'll get a far more powerful system than anything you can get pre built.

I'd try something like this:
