First Build, Compatibility and some veteran advice...

current parts:

Motherboard: P8Z77-V pro (ASUS).

CPU: Intel i5-2500k

GPU: GeForce GTX 660 Ti

Ram: Corsair Vengeance
2x8GB = 16GB

Internal HD: Western Digital caviar black 1Tb + Western Digital caviar blue 500Gb.

Case: ??
Not sure.. mid tower maybe.

PSU: Corsair 800w GS series GS 800

Anything wrong? would it run fine? compatibility issues? any parts worth keeping or removing?

feedback please.

Thanks

Everything seems very good. A coolermaster haf case or carbide case is good.
I would pay a bit extra like $50 for an amd 7950 gpu. With the newest drivers it beats the gtx 670 in alot of games and challenges the 680
  2. He should just get the ivy bridge i5 3570k.... ($20 more)

and you don't need that 800w psu. get like a 650w. that'll be more than enough.

Dump that 660 Ti. The 7950 costs about the same($300) and performs better.
  3. ssd for os like a 120 or 240 would make a huge diff.

or pay 10-20 more for the deluxe
  4. Gaming?

Go with 8 GB of Ram (2x4GB)
    Change CPU to Ivy 3570k
Change the pus to a 650 Watt (good brand choice)
Use the extra $$ to get a 128 GB ssd (for OS and maybe 1 game/app)
No Cooler? Hyper 212 would be a good add as well.

    Nice build.
