XFX 7950 power connection

I just got my new system in and I want to make sure I setup the power for my XFX 7950 card correctly. On the card itself there are holes for what appears to be a 6 pin and 8 pin power connector. My PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Doesn’t seem to have a separate 8 pin power connector but it has two separate 4 pin connectors. Is it ok to combine both of those together into the 8 pin slot?

It’s strange because the outside of the XFX box says it requires two 6 pin connectors but the card has a 6 and 8 and the manual not to use any cable splitters, etc.

  1. Should have a 6+2 (which =8) connector.
  2. The Antec BP550 Plus comes with one 6+2 pin PCI-E power connector that look like the following:

DO NOT use any other connector(s) or you'll risk a short circuit or burned out graphics card based on that question of combining two separate 4 pin connectors.
