Hello,
Looking for advice on a new build for a living room HTPC/gaming at 1080p rig.

some parts I am considering:
case

cpu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
or

haven't thought much about mobo or GPU
& I am running under the assumption about 8Gigs of RAM would be enough. I haven't built a system in some time. All helpful advice is appreciated.

I wouldn't buy any 8 core amd cpu; it's overkill and wastes too much energy. An i3 or one of the new trinity amd cpus is more than adequate.

Thanks for the advice. Can the Trinity chips handle gaming at 1080p? I was under the impression they could not. Maybe the I-3 and a dedicated gpu would be best. Lower power, etc. Any thoughts on a gpu, anyone?
