I want to know if I should stick with an EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti ($180 after shipping) or wait for a 660 or 660 Ti to go on sale. Or should I just get an EVGA GeForce GTX 660 for $230 with a free copy of AC3? I also want to know if I should get an i5 3570(k?) or an AMD FX-8350 and why. One more thing I want to know is what motherboard should I get. Thank you in advance for help!

i5-3570k all the way. Better performance. The only thing the amd fx has over the i5 is more cores, which most programs can't even utilize. For the gpu it's really your preference, but tom's recommends the amd 7850/7870 for that price range.

What would you pick as the motherboard for those? And the case?

^ Would disagree, at a $700-$800 price point, the amount of money you spend on the i5 3570K is about $50 more than the FX-8320, that's a better graphics card you're missing out on.

Check out my $650 build here:

Swap the FX-6300 for the FX-8320 ($30):

Swap the 7870 for the 7950 (+$70):

Total: $720

Better graphics card, low price and the build can still overclock.

Also you should note in games utilizing a better GPU is more important than a better CPU. The FX-8320 is a great chip that performs great, especially a great improvement over the FX-8150 from the Bulldozer generation.

Here's the proof:

Also, just to let you know, the 7950 kills the GTX 660 Ti at the same price point and as such kills the 560 Ti and 660.
