I am looking to upgrade my video card. I am planning to build a new complete system in the next 6 months and I want to know if a current card that will work in the new build will work well on my current computer.

Current setup is: Q9300 Core 2 Quad on Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 mother board and 4 gig DDR2 ram. I am using two AMD 5770 cards in crossfire.

I am looking at the Nvidea GTX 660TI or AMD 7950 cards.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Both cards a good choices at the moment the 7950 tends to be better value and is better at higher resolutions and with more than 4x AA due to better memory bandwidth. If you can use your curerent cards for 6 months the 8850 & 8870 should be released and rumours are performance may exceed the GTX 680 at $200-250 though this sounds exaggerated.
