Hi all, I recently purchased Battlefield 3 Premium Edition for my Dell Inspiron 620 which I purchased just about a year ago now. After a tedious week with EA they finally told me my Intel HD graphics card wasn't good enough to play the game. So I have been searching for a cheap graphics card able to run the game. I came across the sapphire radeon HD 2gb available at amazon for about £63 this seemed perfect so I checked the specs only to find it requires 400w of power whereas the 620 only offers 300/305w after doing some more digging I found some people saying that this card would be fine in a 620 whilst some still claimed it wouldn't work. I would rather not upgrade the psu so if anyone knows for certain whether or not this card will work in my pc and if not which ones will and if they're aren't any, a decent psu I can buy. Thank you.

HD 6670 and HD 7750 will work just fine with a 300W PSU.
You only need to upgrade to a better power supply if you plan to buy cards that are better in performance such as HD 7770 and GTX 650/GTX 660 or higher.

7750 performs quite a bit better in BF3 than the 6670 and uses about the same power, but you are really pushing it with 300w power supply for either card.

I think you are going to want to do an upgrade of the power supply to 500w and then you'll have a wide range of video card options.

Sorry to be a bother but I just need to make absolute certain. I will buy the Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 from Amazon. This card will fit into my 620 but also be able to play High end games such as Battlefield 3 with only 300W of power?
