I finally put my whole new build together. The computer powers on and beeps but nothing shows on the screen. The mobo also came with a disk and I have yet to install it along with my windows 7 oem. I've never done a build before so I'm clueless what to do from here.

What kind of ram do you have? You tried connecting the monitor to the video card and taking the video card out then connecting the monitor to the mobo?

Power down then connect the monitor to the video card and try that.

I don't have that blue port on my video card though.

Your video card or monitor didn't come with one of these vga to dvi http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-DVI-Cable-Adapter-DVIVGA...
If it didn't just take your video card out and connect the monitor to the mobo.

That might be the issue. Let me have a look around my house and see if I can find something that'll hook up to video card...

That's good to hear :)  You can't use the one from the computer you're using now. If it's a laptop or someone doesn't want you taking their pc apart you could buy one cheap $16 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
