Normal for 99% GPU Load all the time?

Okay first off, I already have to send this back to EVGA for artifacting in D3 (already received replacement, but am going to sell it). I'm just waiting to get my GTX 670 FTW in. It's a EVGA GTX660Ti SC. I'm just curious what the problem is now.

Last week EVGA OC Scanner X showed: GPU TEMP: 60*C, LOAD: 48%, POWER: 52.3% TDP, FAN 37%
Outside/room temps were considerably higher last week in he 70-100*F range.

This week shows: GPU TEMP: 59*C, LOAD 99%, POWER: 49.2% TDP, FAN: 37%
Outside/room temps are in the 60*F-80*F range.

Everything is similar, except the load %. Last week I was multiboxing 4x Diablo 3. This week I'm multiboxing 3x Diablo 3. Nothing else has changed on my system. Load stays at 99% all the time now. Also, how come the fan never passes 37%? Shouldn't it spin faster, from the higher load? I feel like it is, computer seems louder now- but according to OC Scanner it's not. No overclocking by me btw.

Different load measurement at different times in different situations can give different results. Load is also not necessarily directly related to power consumption and thus temps and fan speed. Unless you're having performance problems, I wouldn't be worried.

You must be doing some serious folding@home with GPU doing all that...

GPU fan is temp controlled - hotter GPU, higher fan speed...

Diablo 3 is considerably laggy today, just logged on. Everything thing is choppy, and I was only doing the Auction House. When the screen transitions (like when I log off the game for example), I see this stuttering black screen for a second or two.

That might just be the servers. Try some other games if you have any.

Hmm I simply restarted my computer, nothing else, and everything seems back to normal?

GPU TEMP: 50-51*C, LOAD: 30-50% (throttling now), POWER: 30-45% TDP (throttling now), FAN: 35%

This is multiboxing 4x Diablo 3 now too, instead of 3. Diablo 3 is running effortlessly now after the restart.

What gives? Either way, this card is still going back to EVGA after my 670 FTW arrives .

IDK, something might have loaded up improperly. Sometimes, screw-ups happen and re-starting fixes them, at least temporarily.
