Hi guys,

I am a Mac user but was a Windows user once. I built a couple of my own PCs but that was a long time ago, so please bare with me :)

This is a "gaming" computer on a cheap that my grandmother wants to buy her other grandson. I'm buying it in Slovakia :)

So here are the parts:

CPU: Intel Core i3-2130 @ 111 €
GPU: GIGABYTE R775OC-2GI @ 86 €
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB @ 57 €
RAM: Crucial 8GB KIT DDR3 1866MHz CL9 Ballistix Tactical @ 40 €
MB: GIGABYTE Z68AP-D3 @ 81 €
Cooling: ARCTIC FAN 9 PRO TC @ 4.5 €
Cooling: CPU FAN Zalman CNPS5X Performa @ 17.5 €
Case + Power: Eurocase MiddleTower 5410 400W Fortron @ 40.5 €
DVD: DVD Samsung SH-224BB @ 15 €
Screen: LCD 22" Acer G225HQVbd @ 100 €
TOTAL 552.5 €

I am buying everything here www.alza.sk

Did I choose something wrong? My budget is 550€.

Thank you all for your help.

It would be fine for games but I would drop the CPU cooler and extra fan, you won't need them.

Z68 board is for overclocking really and you can't overclock that CPU, B75 would be cheaper.

That CPU won't run 1866Mhz memory, it will just run at 1333Mhz so you might as well buy 1333Mhz.

After all those savings, see if you can get a better quality ~400W PSU and maybe upgrade the GPU to a HD 7770 or GTX 650Ti.

Well, looking at the alza.sk site you can get a i3-3220 for cheaper, which you totally should.

You should downgrade the mobo to B75, ASUS P8B75-M LX is 50€. Drop the CPU cooler, the i3 comes with one.

Use the saved money to get a good PSU, like Seasonic, and a better GPU.

You are amazing guys, thanks.

So I switched the CPU to i3 3220 which has maximum RAM speed 1600MHz. But I can't choose from all these :(

Should I buy 2 x 4GB or just 1 x 8GB stick? What company?
I am choosing from this http://www.alza.sk/pameti/ddr3/dle-frekvence/1600-mhz/18850209.htm#f&pg=1&pn=1&po=1&par523=3--3&par530=530-1869

I am changing the GPU but I don't know whether to choose a card that has DDR3 but 2GB or DDR5 but only 1GB?

What should I do?

The MB that I picked is MSI B75MA-P45 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130655&Tpk=MSI%20B75MA-P45

So, I am going to order this. I hope it will all play nicely together. I am going to put Windows 7 64bit on it. Win 8 seems weird for games to me.

Thank you guys for your help.
