Gtx 670 AND 680 in the same Gaming Rig?

I have recently bought the gtx 670 FTW 4GB @ 1.01GHz and I have recently been given a gret deal for a gtx 680. My question is, if I get the 680 in addition to the 670 I have, will I be able to use them BOTH at the same time in my gaming rig? Or will they be incompatible because they are different models?

No. For example, an XXXGT cannot be paired with a XXXGTX in an SLI configuration.

But could a gtx 670 mix with a gtx 680 because the drivers are similar I believe. Some websites says it is true. I just want to make sure before I purchase anything

If you SLI/crossfire two cards and one is weaker than the other the system will only render as fast as the slowest card, so you might see some improvement but one 680 is probably going to perform better than a 670/680sli combo.
