In case I didn't post it before, I finally broke down and got a DSLR.

(Canon 300D).

Its not the latest and greatest, but it will work for me!

I found that the dust problem I had when shooting with a Drebel before
appears to be idiosyncratic to the particular camera, and not to Drebels in
general. (dust was getting on the sensor without lens removal!)

The owner of that Drebel has sent it to Canon for diagnosis/repair.

One I get the adapter ring for my old Contax/cy lenses, I'll be able to go to
work with it.

Have fun. Enjoy. Obsess. Post. Do the shoot-in (you have a few days
left on the 'cute' mandate).

Cheers,
Alan

I just got my brand new 300D about a month ago, and already have around
1300 shots on it. I've got the SLR bug once again. This is my 3rd
digital camera, and I sure love it!

I have an adapter on the way to allow me to use (fully manual) old Yshica
lenses.. The two I most want to use are my f2.8 135mm prime and my f4 80mm to
200mm Zoom.. With the crop factor, they should give me some reach.

I also have a lovely 50mm f1.8, though Im unsure where I would use it.

A couple of relly nice 35mm f1.8 also. (might make a nice portrait lens)

Ive only shot a few flowers around the yard with the kit lens.. Its OK but
nothing to write home about.
