I have a Canon Digital Rebel and the owners manual says that I can put it
into RAW mode.

I just ordered a 1MB CF card for the larger file sizes, but find that there
is no selection available in the menu for RAW.

What is up with this? It is clearly depicted in the owners manual, but not
there.

Is there a way to activate this feature?

Thanks,

Kirk

You need to read the manual a little closer.

The camera needs to be in one of the creative modes or RAW will not be
available to you. There are a lot of limitations when you are in the basic
modes so you should probably go back to the manual to find out what they
are.

It's not an available option in full auto mode; but turn the dial to "P"
mode, or whatever; and you'll be able to select the RAW and RAW+JPG
modes.

... And you got a 1GB card. They never made them as small as 1MB. I
have three of the 1GB cards. Have plenty, if not too much..

Also, as I have found out, the Sensor Clean option is not available if
you are in the full auto mode. The manual does NOT mention this
however.

It would be apreciated if you left a bit of the text that you're
replying to.

Well obviously. LOl Did that really need to be pointed out?

Ah, Usenet--where the easiest way to fell good about being right is to
point out something that's wrong. :-)
