Will i be bottlenecked?!

Im picking up my PC on Monday, I took everyones advice on here and basically got it made.

Asrock 970 AM3+ Extreme 4
AMD Phenom II x 4 965 Black Edition
Sapphire HD 7850 2gb OC
4GB Vengeance Ram



Now, I have been reading up for days about all my hardware, Everything has good reviews including the 965BE, However i have seen a good few threads that state the 965BE will Bottle neck my GPU if i dont over clock it.

My question is, Do i 100% need to over clock this for it to be good on games? Like Skyrim/Fallouts/Warz/Bf3?

My res is only 1600x900 and i was hoping tio play these games on High/max settings.

I am buying another 4gb Vengeance ram too to make it 8Gb and im also hoping to but a CoolerMaster Evo 212 cpu cooler. ( not to use for oC'ing, i just read that the stocker cooler is very bad).



I trust you guys more than all other forums, So i just want a 100% sure verdict.

Will i run these games and how.

Do i REALLY need to overclock my 965Be or my GPU? I have no idea about overclocking at all.

Also, If overclocked to say 3.8Ghz-4 , How often will i need to re apply thermal paste?

It depends on the game. If its a cpu heavy game like starcarft2 then yes. Games like BF3 probably won't though.

You only need to reapply thermal paste if you temps go up. I say at least a year.

My question is, Will that Cooler fit into this case fine? Hopefully with the fan facing out the back?

And will it cover up any ram slots on my motherboard?

It also says something about it fitting ATX/MicroATX boards in it..... Does my board fall into that x.x

I'm not sure about that board, but I tried 212 Evo on Asus M5A97 EVO and it covered one memory slot.

it won't be a problem if you use a low profile memory. But, vengeance (not the LP variant) has quite high heatspreader.

I have a 970BE and a Sapphire 5670 512MB. On Max Settings, I get 30-40 fps on Skyrim, and 35-50fps on Battlefield 3. With that GPU, you will get at least a 10 fps increase over my readings, possibly even a 20 fps increase. You'll be fine with that combo.

But do you have your BE over clocked? Im not sure if im going to over clock my cpu or my gpu as im not very well versed in that stuff.
