Hdmi no signal asus notebook lg tv

I am having a problem with my asus notebook k53 and LG lcd tv. The problem is that when i plug in hdmi cable I get message on tv "no signal", other notebooks like dell and acer works properly on my tv but asus wont. I tried with different resolutions, updated my graphic card but nothing helped. when i enter in graphic card options it says that Tv settings are not supported, but how is not supported if notebook have hdmi port??

Does the HDMI port work with any other display? Like another TV or a monitor.

I didnt try that...maybe the hdmi port is not working...but that would be strange becouse notbook is brand new...
