I'm a bit OCD when it comes to a few things and keeping my computer looking tidy and nice is one of them. I haven't built my PC yet but I was wondering wether I should get rid of my SSD and invest in a Modular PSU and a better Mobo and buy my SSD later.

Thanks in advance and here is my build as it currently stands:
i5 3570K
Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
ASROCK Z77 Pro3
8GB KIT 1600 Kingston Hyper-X
1TB Westen Digital Blue
Radeon HD 7870 Saphire O/C
Thermaltake Litepower 500W
Samsung SATA DVD Optical Drive

(This will be my first build BTW)

get this ram. kingston ram is bad for intel rigs
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=57953&vpn=F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL&manufacture=G.Skill&promoid=1310

get this power supply. yours is junk
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=59615&vpn=P1550SXXB9&manufacture=XFX&promoid=1257

id personally try to get a SSD in any build above 900. but then it has to be that you have a good case, decent motherboard and decent overall specs to consider one

this ssd will do it

Thankyou for your suggestions but I have put some effort into having the inside of my build blue and black so that RAM wouldn't do it. Also I wasn't settled on that PSU yet and I though if I got rid of the SSD I could get this http://pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=15349 which many people have suggested and would go nice with my build. Also I'm not ure to take you seriously judging by your name :p

At that price range i would get a hx650w from corsair. Its modular, 80+ gold, & since its so efficient the fan doesn't kick in until 30% usage.

Thanks for the reply but still no-one has answered my question. Should I can the SSD and upgrade my PSU?

Your PSU does need an upgrade for sure. But an ssd is also very important. I suggest adding another $100 on your budget and get the PSU TheBigTroll suggested. If you really don't have another $100 then go without an SSD if you wish, but my build would seem incomplete without my SSD.

And my favorite ssd that I use is http://pcpartpicker.com/ca/part/intel-internal-hard-drive-ssdsc2cw120a310 only $109

Thankyou for your reply. I am probably not going to be building this for a while so by then the proces of SSD will probably have gone down and I can also by SSD later right?
