Upgrading pc.

Hello. I recently built a pc and waiting for a copy of windows for it. I also have another pc and am thinking of upgrading all of the components except the case and hard drive. what will happen to my windows. will it become illegal its still the same pc just outdated. thinking of getting new mobo, ram, cpu and psu.

Your current install will become invalid given that you have changed the mobo, and will be so until you put in a valid key. If you have a retail copy of Windows your in luck, the key can be used multiple times. If you have an OEM key (also known as a System builder key), then you will have to buy a new key, as the key ties itself to the first mobo its used on and cant be used on any other.
