I just brought Logitech HOME webcam. I have AMD Duron pc, Soltek MB(VIA KT 133a)& running on WIN98 SE. As instructed i installed software first; then plugged the cam. All i was getting was server busy error.
On checking the Logitech site for trouble-shooting, i got 3 bad news.
1 VIA chipset based boards have poor support for USB ports.
2 logitech cam products are bugprone to AMD 350+ processors
3 win98se needs upgrdation for better USB port addressing.
That reallys sucks.
What i have done is download latest 4-in-1 drivers, USB filter update for WIn98se, another patch from Microsoft for USB bug. Nothing seems to have worked.
hope somebody had a similar problem an has found a good solution.
i have a logitech quick cam on 98-2nd with a amd 533k6-2 and i am using the new set of driver 5.5.1 do you have the new set? or the old ones check on verision. you can down load the new ones from thier site. also remove all to have fresh clean install.
