What impact does running two internet providers have on your operating system?

When I have Google chrome running and foxfire at the same time.
I experience slow graphics. Is there something I can change to improve the video graphics.
Sometimes the internet screen locks up and I have to shut down to recover.

Those are not internet providers, they are web browser. An internet provider is Verizon, Cox, Comcast, etc...
Should be OK with running them both at the same time, but some programs can crash, Flash likes to do that.
For slow video, you need to post your system specs, CPU, Video card, RAM, Operating System, service pack level.
