I stream a lot of gameplay and i used to do it like this:
Gaming on one 23" 1920x1080 screen (game in fullscreen) and then reading chat on the second 19" 1280x1024 screen + changing music from it.
Now today i discovered a way to read chat without the second monitor (a twitch, steam bot which transfers the twitch chat messages to my steam account so all i have to do is open the overlay during game and read the chat).
I thought to myself: "Awesome, i can disable the second monitor and get better fps again" (I used to stream without the second monitor and fps was much better).
But the result is, that my fps is even worse than with a second monitor. It cant be the bot, cause all it is, is steam overlay + mirc chat basically.
So, what am i missing here ? What is causing the bad frames + its not just bad frames, but little spikes to 20fps or so.
