Hello there!

Since my intel dual core E2160,nVidia Geforce 8600GT ,ddr2 2gb ram and my mobo and psu are too old , i decided to give them an upgrade : here is my future build and i want your opinions.

AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE
ASROCK 960GM-GS3 FX
CoRsair Vengeance dual channel 4 gb ram
Asus Radeon hd6770 ddr5
Corsair 430CX

I would like to give your opinions on my build,
also it would be helpful to me if you can tell me if my psu is ok with my build, and if my MOBO is ok with my cpu too.
also can someone tell me the diffrence between Sapphire hd6770 and asus's hd6770?

thank you for you time.

What is your budget? I would heavily suggest a different PSU - I've owned a CX430 and seen two of them fail on me. The 6770 is a decent GPU but the 7770 is better.

The psu is not a good choice I'd recommend a 500w or better. Is there any reason you didn't choose an i3 or fx CPU?

Have had a CX430 powering my HTPC for the last year with no hiccups. While I wouldn't trust the PSU's max continuous output, your rig as built will hardly top 300w.

An I3 or 4300 may be out of budget for him (ditto the 7770), and a 965 > 4100.

Yeah if you don't overload a CX430 it will work fine. I tried it with a Radeon 5800 - failed, I tried it on my HTPC - wouldn't power up. The Seasonic one - while expensive - is one of the best.

My budget for all these is around 300 euros in my country. (Greece) I wanted to order them from newegg but i doesnt ship to my country, also i dont want to use FX series cpu because 1.my budget is high to add more 2. I have made a big research about amd phenom 965 comparison with amd fx 4100 (which is almost the same budget) and realised that the phenom perform far better from the fx.
The hd6770 is ok for me,i dont want to play games like bt3 in ultra settings, i want to play games like league of legends and max them out.

EDIT : I dont want to buy i3 because some friends suggested me to buy the phenom because is rly awesome in games and i3 doesnt seem to suit me.

Most tests put the Phenom II ahead of the FX-4100, and the FX-4300 is an improved version of the 4100. The 7770 is a newer version of the 6770. If you post the store you're buying from we can suggest parts - if you don't know one check the link in my signature.

That's such a tight budget that I would actually suggest going a different route. Check out the AMD A10-5800K. It's a fast CPU with lots of overclocking potential and a pretty good GPU. You can get a better GPU later on.

Try this:

Case: Cooler Master Elite 361 - 38.90 €
PSU: Antec Earthwatts EA-450 - 38.90 €
Motherboard: Asrock FM2A55M mATX socket FM2 - 64.50 €
CPU: 3.8GHz AMD A10-5800K - 125.94 €
RAM: 4GB Corsair XMS3 DDr3 1600MHz 1.5V - 25.40 €

Total: 313.64 €
