I have just finished building a new system with a DDR board. The memory I used is Crucial PC1600 128MB (CL2). When I went in the bios it seemed to recogonize everything fine but the RAM was set at 2.5 cycles. I set it down to 2 since I'm using CL2 memory. Is that how I should do it? Should it be running at 2 cycles instead? Everything seems to run fine but I just wanted to make sure that I did that right since it only had 2.5 in there already. Does the bios not realize if you have 2.0, 2.5, 3.0??? Thanx

all this HARDware nonsense is giving me a headache! :frown:

Seems you did the right thing. It's possible that your BIOS doesn't detect your RAM well and sets it to the standard of CL2.5 (If I'm right CAS 3 doesn't exists with DDR).
My BIOS also sets 2.5 while I have 2, I'm using an Abit KG7-RAID.

Do not make illegal copies of this post
