Why am i crashing after sleep

Hi all ive been having this problem thats really irritating, ive overclocked my unlocked 6950 with msi afterburner at core clock 900mhz with the memory at 1375mhz with the fan set to 50%, the gpu never reaches over 70 degrees. The pc runs fine with no problems at all for a whole day but everything turns upside down when i put the pc to sleep, after it wakes up from sleep and i go to play a game, in my case Dota 2 it crashes like 1 minute in the game and this only happens when i put the pc to sleep if i dont it never crashes or i have to keep turning the pc off when im out.

Is there anything i can do to fix this?

does it only happen when you Overclock your card?

Turn off the memory overclock and try it.

this only happens if i overclock with a different program other than CCC such as msi afterburner or trixx, only thing is CCC doesnt have voltage control

You said it all happens after your computer wakes up from sleep mode.

yeah after it wakes up and i go play a game itll crash

Can I infer from what you have said that crash does not occur after wake up from sleep if you do not overclock ? If this is so then you should slightly back off from overclock little by little until you come to a point where wake up from sleep and no crash condition go side by side.

Is NVInspector a gpu monitoring utility for Nvidia-based gfx cards only ? The poster has an AMD-based gfx card.
