Hi my girlfriend is using the Radeon HD 6550D integrated into her APU (AMD A8-3850) and is in need of a discrete graphics card. She plays games like diablo 3, sims 3, and dead island just to name a few. She usually has to play on a low resolution but she wants to be able to manage on 1920x1080 without sacrificing to much graphic quality and frame rates. She has a max budget of $150 to spend on a gpu but the less the better, just enough to get by.

Here is her build:

CPU: AMD A8-3850 Llano 2.9GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic AMD Radeon HD 6550D

MOBO: BIOSTAR A75MG FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard t

SSD: Kingston SSDNow V+200 KR-S3020-3H 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal 7mm Solid State Drive (SSD)

Memory: Crucial Ballistix sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory

PSU: APEX AL-D500EXP 500W ATX12V Power Supply

An amd 7850 would be good. It would be a really good upgrade for her. Its about 30 bucks over budget though, but i would just pay for the extra 30 bucks for her

Wait, wouldn't it be a lot better performance gain to do a Hybrid Crossfire with the iGPU?
