Hi all,

Sorry for such a common thread but, I just need the components I am looking at getting sense checking before laying out a large chunk of cash.

I've read the related threads, but as PC's move on at such great pace they are a little out of date so your input would be appreciated in looking at what I list below and either modifying or just alieviating my worries, so here goes.

I have monitor, mice, keyboard.

System will be running Windows 7 64X professional, mostly for Solidwords, flowxpress, microsoft office.

Any help is appreciated, and again, sorry for it being a common topic.

Thanks in advance.

off the top of my head the only thing I would change is the SSD. The V4 is not bad... but it is rather old. I would look at a newer Intel or Samsung SSD for this type of build.

Also, I think that the new nVidia pro GPUs are coming out (maybe they are out already?), so the 4000 may not be the best choice. I will look into this more a little later when I have more time as I am not quite up to speed on the pro GPU market.

Anywho, the rest of the build looks pretty good at a glance!

I went through a recent build for a Solidworks work station and have some suggestions for anyone else who is putting together a machine. My build and components are detailed here: http://enginoor.com/solidworks-pc-2015/

I'd go with a larger SSD and save some money on the ram. I'd consider the Quadro K2000 as well.
