Is there any other processor that people can run?

Not well. It's not a real 86 processor, it uses code morphing (translation) and is actually a VLIW (Very long instruction word) chip, I believe. Rememeber, this thing is built for temperature and power, not speed.

What about the IDT WinChip? Are these still around? Also, what about Evergreen processor upgrades. Do these count as processors themselves?

Evergreen uses K6-2's and Celerons for the upgrade processors
Yeah, I thought this was the case. All they do is blot on a socket adaptor or mount them on a PCI upgrade board.

The last IDT chips were not even made by them
Yeah, I knew this, but are they still a separate archatecture? Or simply a rip-off of some other chip, re-badged?
