GPU temp 42c on Envidia Geforce 560ti

I recently overclocked my graphics card for gaming on my Envidia Geforce 560ti and i am getting a temp of 42 degrees Celsius , is this normal also my fan speed is 84%. i am using Evga precision to overclock my video card. something tells me the tempature is a false reading. please let me know what you guys thing. before i forget my GPU

it seems legit. you dont need to run the fan so fast.

if its on idle, its a bit hot. if its on load, its very cool. also, use furmark to stress test and use gpu-z to find the temps

What is a stress test used for?

A stress test is program that puts the GPU under a heavy load causing it to get hot. the easiest thing for you to do is to try running your most demanding game and watch the temps while playing. It should be safe around 80 degrees C. If it starts getting to 85 C then stop playing and let it cool down a bit then back off your OC untill you can keep it to around 80 C while gaming.
