Monitor supports dvi and vga

Hello,
My Optiplex gx 260 has only a VGA port on the back, but my monitor supports VGA and DVI. What do I need to do to be able to send the DVI signal from my PC to the monitor, and not use VGA anymore. Do I need to upgrade to a graphics card that has a DVI port on the back?

Well, you can certainly buy a new graphics card...or you can get a VGA to DVI adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814998101
and then use the VGA port of your graphics card but convert the signal to DVI so you can hook it up to your monitor as a DVI.
or you can just use VGA since your monitor supports both right? I don't see why you can't use the VGA...
