My new laptop has Intel HD graphics 4000 and GeForce GT 630M.

I am not sure, but I believe that Intel HD Graphics 4000 is handling the laptop display while the GeForce GT 630M is doing the PhysX processing.

Is this ideal? Shouldnt the more powerful GeForce GT 630M be the dedicated main card?

At a time, two cards doesn't work. The HD 4000 is ideal for your gaming needs and GT 630m handles crysis 2 too. If you want to change the dedicated card, right click on My computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Display -> HD 4000 -> Right Click -> Uninstall

That's it. Now, the gt630m is ur main card.

Hope it works out, TC. :)

When i load the device manager -> display -> i only get the HD 4000 as an option the Nvidia 630 doesn't show up. Is that how it is suppose to be?

How it works is..
In the Nvidia Control Panel, click 3D Settings, then click Manage 3D Settings. Program Settings will allow you choose "By App" which card you prefer. I use the 630M for gaming, video and anything that requires 3D. where as the Intel chip will be used for normal desktop use. You can also just use one chip or another under Global Settings.
The Intel Card is the "Main Card" for normal use.
