Remember when Metz, Sunpak and Vivitar
dominated the flash market for SLRs?
Did you ever see a press conference where
the Metz 45, or Vivitar 285 wasn't present
on the Nikons, Canons, etc, there?
So what happened to digital offerings?
Most of what I see on their websites
are the old SLR flash units and maybe one
or two designed for digital, and they are
lower-end models. I figure they didn't realize
how fast DSLRs would appear and weren't thinking
the change from film to digital would happen
as soon as it did.
Metz's site refers to "mecablitz digital in the future."
